Every year two parties hunt on private land
near Webster, SD. The agreement between the two parties is that each
party alternate having first choice of fields every year. This year it
was our turn (the Crichton party of two) to have first choice. After
scouting around on Friday we picked a field of winter wheat stubble.
On Saturday morning, the other party (the
Smith party of four) met us at the field we had chosen asking if they
could set up with us. We allowed them to set up on the other end of the
field. Our set_up consisted of 2 GooseView™ Destroyer™ "Guide Series"
Blinds, 6 GooseView™ Dominator™ Decoys, and a dozen Bigfoots©. Their set_up
had flags, a couple dozen Outlaws, three dozen Bigfoots©, and 4 either
Eliminator or Finisher blinds. They had quite an impressive spread!
My son, Travis, and I had a conversation
wondering if we’d get any shooting since the Smiths had their big spread
in our same field.
After the sun came up and the ducks began to
land in our spread right next to our blinds, we knew we had a chance! The
Smiths spotted the first flock of geese and started calling. These geese
bypassed the Smiths and headed right into our spread. Four geese in - three geese down
- the Destroyer™ Blinds passed the test!
The rest of the morning was more of the same.
The geese bypassed the Smith’s spread to get to ours. After a couple of
hours, we were only one short of our limit of ten. The Smiths were lucky
enough to shoot the two cripples we had. They packed up and headed out of
the far side of the field, driving around to our vehicle where they left
us a little note. It read: "We need to talk."
We picked up shortly after and headed back to
the farmhouse. When the Smith party met up with us, they accused us of
hunting illegally. When asked to explain, they said the Destroyer™ Blinds
should be against the law because of the concealment factor we had. The
birds couldn’t see us _ but the Smiths stuck out like a sore thumb.
The moral of our story is: If you want first
choice every time, go with our first choice "The Destroyer™ Blinds."

2004 Early Goose Hunt (South Dakota) |
Casey Self with his first two
South Dakota Geese |
Rick Krekel, Owner of Krekel's North Restaurant in
Decatur, Illinois, upon returning home from a Canadian hunting trip
couldn't wait to let us know what made his trip so special. Terms
like "waterfowl god" & "class act" were the words used to describe
FarmLand™ "Elite" Pro Staff member Steve Panaroni, as he guided Rick and
his son Chad to one of their most memorable waterfowl hunts ever!
What also made Rick's hunt so special? The new
Destroyer™ "Guide Series" by GooseView™ Industries. Rick said "The
new Destroyer™ Blind is the greatest! I've never hunted out of a
blind that's more effective and comfortable. Results: 75 mallards
and 30 geese!" Rick goes on to comment "The Destroyer™ Blind kept
me warm and dry, was easy to get in and out of, had a comfortable
backrest, was easy to shoot from, provided an excellent field of view .
. . I loved the dog entrance! Unbelievably, I had a mallard drake
land directly on top of my blind then proceed to look down inside and
stare right at me . . . What an experience!"
Obviously with a great testimonial like Rick's, why
wouldn't we give his restaurant a plug? To all you waterfowlers
traveling through Illinois, why not stop in Decatur and give Rick Krekel
some business? He's a class guy!

completely disappeared in picked cornfields. Great for decoy
shy geese! GooseView's™ Dominator Decoys looked & performed
beautifully on windy days. Also, my FarmLand™ Gold Parka is
awesome. Thank you for great products!
